 Types of training

My training has the students and staff as the first and most important element to achieve overall success and results . Years of mentoring and training both with student teachers and with art departments across the country has enable me to lead by example and drive success through guidance, support and proven strategies which when implemented have highly effective outcomes that raise results. Every school community differs, so I will work with each school to create individual training to maximise outcomes. From up skilling teachers with painting, clay, printing techniques - to training whole school primary teachers on basic art skills - to diagnostic reports for under performing art departments - to integrating new creative GCSE's that will impact on league table results.

Departmental workshops

These workshops will work collaboratively with the HoD to ensure the maximum outcome for the school community. The focus can be up skilling teachers skills with painting, clay-work etc to new SOW or focused on improving overall results.

Primary workshops

Full day art workshops providing projects that fit the national curriculum. Workshops will be designed around your requests, to suit your schemes of work and students The day is designed to up skill teachers with step by step processes leading to highly effective outcomes for their students.

Team buildings workshops

Staff well being and morale is at the heart of every successful team. These bespoke sessions can provide time to reflect, discuss and strengthen teams while giving them skills that can be transferable to the classroom.

Introduction of GCSE photography

This session will focus on the introduction of a highly effective and successful photography course at GCSE or A Level. This workshop will work through SOW, examples of successful portfolios and provide resources for the course.

Well being workshops

These workshops can design for staff or students and have a clear purpose of positively via the Arts. A workshop that allows individuals the time to focus on self and be creative while having fun.

Diagnostic reports on departments

This will be a review of the Creative Arts department. A full diagnostic report that enables senior leaders and Heads of department to set clear targets. The report would cover areas of attainment, informal observations of lessons,  SOW,  departmental strengths, areas to improve. These reports enable a clear pathway and vision for both individual teachers and line mangers.
